When I got my Vagabond II last year I noticed that during use it emits a high pitched whine that fades in and out sometimes, but is fairly constant otherwise. I was just curious if this is normal for the sine wave inverter, or if it needs to be sent in for repair? It appears to operate the strobes fine, but the whine is kind of annoying :)

that is normal. It should be that you will hear the whine under a deep charge, fading away as it nears a full charge. Also, you may hear the whine when under a strong draw (several lights plugged in). The latter is especially true when the model lamps are on.
