First, I suggest you turn the flashpower down to minimum power - not Full, for the Lo Cal. Using Einstein, you should be able to get down to f1.0 by just moving the meters away from the flash.
Second, try pointing the flash toward one wall, and with the CC and Sekonic placed the behind that wall, facing the opposite wall, see if you can get down to f1.0.
If it's still to bright, try doing the Lo Cal at f2.0 instead of f1.0.
