I want to use my Einstein with two Phottix Mitros flashes. I will have the a Phottix Odin transmitter in my camera hotshoe to trigger these two flashes. I will set the Einstein to slave mode and allow the Mitros flashes to trigger the strobe.

I'd still like to be able to change the power and other settings of my Einstein remotely.....while maintaining its slave status. Before I buy a cyber commander and Cybersync transceiver, I want to know if could simply handhold the commander (it will not be in the camera hotshoe) to change the settings of my strobe, and will these settings be maintained when I press the shutter?

I see some videos on YouTube where people are changing the strobe settings via handheld commander. But I don't know if those settings are maintained in the slave mode.

Thanks for the help.

The Einstein will fire via the optical slave at the settings entered into the Cyber Commander. However, if the Mitros are in TTL mode, the Einstein will trigger too early due to the preflash. If there is a Phottix receiver that is compatible, it can be plugged into the sync jack for triggering while the CC is still in control of power, and you have better reliability, no early triggering, and no triggering from others' flashes.
