I have two batteries.

I charged both today and according to the green light on the charging unit, both batteries took the charge.

However, when I slide them into the holder, and turn it on, the green light next to the USB receptacle lights up, then goes off instantly.

Is it a fuse, the batteries or the holder?

Hard to say for sure. Ultimately, sending in the inverter and at least one battery would allow us to fully ferret out the problem. It is not a fuse if the LED comes on at all.

However, you can try this. Remove the battery, and plug the charger into the back of the unit (where the battery would connect. Turn the inverter on and see if the LED goes off again. If so, then there is an issue with the inverter. If not, there could still be an issue with the inverter, or it could be the batteries.

In either case, if the batteries are over 2-3 years old, then they are probably nearing the end of their service life, and should be replaced even if not the cause of this problem.
