:?: I have the AB400 on lowest power using a Nikon D610 and a 50 mm 1.4 lens. Camera settings at 1/200 ISO at 100 and the lowest f stop I can use that isn't completely blown out is f/5.6
I want to use a lower fstop but can't get anything to work.
Help!!!

first, check an image that exhibits the all blown out look. review the image data, and ensure the image was recorded at ISO 100. Some Nikons have a setting that can override a Manual ISO selection.

Next, what does the ambient light meter at? In other words, if you take a photo at the some setting, but without the flash, what does the image look like?

Also, how Close is the light to your Subject?
