After seeing these tests,

http://sophastudio.blogspot.com/2015/02 ... s-and.html

I want to put an 11 inch long throw reflector on my Profoto B1. How would I go about doing that? What sort of adapter would I need?

Thanks!

There is no Profoto to Balcar/Buff adapter to my knowlege. The bloggers linked to used tape.

I am the poster you are referring to. I run that blog and run SOPHA in Manchester, NH. We have more Paul Buff products than you would ever believe. We also dabble in Profoto, but only for the B1 Air. Otherwise we bleed Paul Buff, Alien Bee, and Einstein.

I routinely use the 11" reflector on my Profoto B1 Air.

I bought the PCB to Profoto adapter ring, and then bolted it to the 11" LTR. Lining everything up to do so was a complete pain, but it works startlingly well.

You need the FSB-PA ($30) and the 11LTR ($30) and some hardware from a big box store (call it $4). For $64 you will have a reflector that is 99% of the Telezoom REflector ($720).

Take that spare $656 and buy more Paul Buff products.

I can't seem to attach an image, so here is a link to my blog where I show the Franken-Reflector and output data.

If I can help further, don't hesitate to email me - I have a large social footprint and I am not hard to find.
