Ventana, of course, you are completely correct.

I suggested hanging on to the Pyrex dome and modeling lamp only because of the earlier post advising us that returned v1 units would be destroyed. Otherwise, I would not have brought it up. Whatever the company decides, I am totally on board.

It's not about revenues at all . . . it's about eliminating units in the field that have been upgraded with improved and keeping them from being sold on eBay.

So I am wondering, are we supposed to contact cs about getting the exchanges for v1 and v2"faulty fingers" or will CS contact us? Or is there going to be extra wait now to get the dome black plastic lamp covers redesigned?

Any news would be appreciated, as wedding season will be here soon and we are stuck with the rubber bands.....or chance of blowing our model bulb again....

Thanks

Customer Service is contacting those with v.1 and early v.2 Einsteins. Since everyone cannot be swapped at once, they are contacting in original date order. All swaps are being done as fast as possible.

Should we still be waiting for the initial contact about this? I noticed a lot of people who ordered Einsteins in November or December 2010 have been receiving the Einsteins 2.5 (fixed version).
We have the original V1, and V2s but still have not been contacted and wedding season is just around the corner. Last year the V1 overheated on us and blew the modeling light during a wedding shoot, and I don't plan on having that happen this year, nor do I plan to mess around with rubber bands at weddings......but.....still waiting.... and another month has passed, I just hope I won't be told we are out of warranty by the time our turn comes up, like with our large PLM v1?

Can we get an update on this please?

Contacting customer service directly will be your best bet. They have better time frames than the tech department.
