Also, be aware of the fact that YOU are taking a bit more risk, which you might want to consider. Like in my example:
- I had a backordered PLM and some csxv's that suddenly were ready, and got shipped to my international carrier, but the ground transport was very fast, and it took a couple of days before I had the invoice, so before I knew it, my carrier had shipped it by air - costing me ~100$ in S/H for 138$ of light modifiers and equipment :(
And I got 2 einsteins and a vagabond - where the vagabond inverter might have been of the rumoured bad batch, so it blew once I started using it with my lights. And one light had a strange issue where it would not fire or only fire intermittently on *low* power settings (-f6.4 and lower).
PCB immediately offered to take back the inverter and swap out the Einstein on the 60 day satisfaction guarantee - and had a call tag ready. Of course, the call tag would be from my intl. shipper, not from Norway, so I have to pack it up and send it to them instead (I could have sent it to my shipper in NJ, but cost is the same for me, so what is the point).
About $100 in expense for me to ship the light and inverter back. I am sure PCB will return it to my intl. shipper, but then I have to ship it back to Norway on my expense, another 50-100$ there. (Assuming I did the paperwork correctly so I don't pay VAT *again* when getting it back into Norway).
So there can be a bit of a hassle if you are not careful. On the other hand, I don't see this being much different if I had bought it in the UK, other than slightly lower lags in transport.
