The problem is probably your speedring, can you tell us if the quick release levers travel back to their fully closed position when using this speedring? If they only travel back 50% then the fingers on the Einstein can open fairly easily and the softbox can fall off.

I'm not sure why this change was made, the fingers on my V1 Einsteins could not be opened easily even when partially engaged. With the V2 units many accessories that worked perfectly on my AlienBees and my V1 Einsteins can not be used reliably/safely.

As others have mentioned, asking the Einstein to support "big mama" is asking a lot. If my V1 hadn't done it, I wouldn't had such expectations.

Regardless, I found a bracket for mounting the Westcott 7ft to a stand. Now the octa supports the Einstein. I'm very happy. :D

where did you get the bracket for the westcott speedring?
