Come to think of it... how did it work with the 2 Dlite4 in the second video?

The d-lite 4's in the 2nd video are the newer model (D-lite 4 IT's) which have an upgraded power inverter system. The video in the first link (mine) I was using the older d-lite 4's which could not handle voltage drops and thus "glitched."

Also keep in mind that the the 230V version supplies a higher voltage which allows the d-lites to not drop below a certain power point. If you are using the older d-lite 4's with the vml 230V they might still glitch due to the power supply. The newer IT versions addressed that issue and can be used successfully with the 230V VML as evidenced in the 2nd video.

Thanks c2thew for clearing that up.

I have the newer Dlite 4 ITs. Reading from this thread I just need to make sure the VML is warmed up then I should be fine!
And I just saw on the site that there's the power cord that I can purchase to hook up my DLite 4 to the Vagabond.

Off to place an order for the 230 VML!

Well, just an update. after reading carefully over and over many times of all the posts here I decided to place an order for the 120V VML instead of the 230V, just in case I may want to use it for something else.

I placed the order for UPS 3 day, I live in Georgia, on 7/18 and received it on 7/20  Can you say fast shipping!!!!

The VML arrived with the battery 50% charged. I decided to go ahead and hook it up to do some QUICK tests with my Elinchrom D-Lite 4 IT.

Eureka!!!!

It works!! I hooked up both of my D-lite 4 into both sockets of the VML and it had no problem cycling both units even at different power settings. I do not have the exact recycle times but it's within a matter of 1 or 2 seconds when the D-lites were set to approx. 40%.

I was a bit concerned when I saw the first video that the VML would have problems with the D-Lite 4. But that was with the older non "IT" model. The Elinchrom "IT" series seems to have better circuitry. I don't need to have the 230V version for my D-lite, like that in the second video.

Anyway, another happy customer. Oh, duh! I forgot to order the carrying bag.

Thanks TS, LUAP and all for all the help here!!

How about the D-lite 4 IT in full power, will it work? Thanks.
