It has now been almost a full year since I first reported the recycle time issue with the 230v version of the VML inverter that is the subject of this thread. In July of last year, Paul wrote:

"We'll get engineering and the inverter vendor on the issue and get it corrected . . . but it takes time for the vendor to make changes."

Can you confirm that the required engineering change has been made? I would still very much like to get a 230v VML to use with my Profoto Compacts (they glitch with the 120v version) but not if the cold recycle time issue has not been addressed.

Current shipping product has been adjusted so that the VML230 will have recycle times similar to the 120V version throughout the time on. Given the differeneces in power between the two standards, and power requirements of various lights, we cannot gurantee the two will be identical in all situations. It has, however, been altered to not require a "warm up" period to achieve maximum recycle.

That's great! Thanks much for the update. Looking forward to giving the 230v inverter a try with the Profoto Compacts.
