I understand that Lithium disposable AAAs are practical right now, and that someday we may see NiZn (though they'd require yet another charger!), is there no way to enable the Cyber Commander to work with NiMh batteries? It would be great to be able to use rechargeables - I think in this day and age if a piece of electronics is using AAs or AAAs (big kudos for that fact already) it'd be a shame if it rules out rechargeables.

NiMH batteries have only an initial voltge of 1.3V . . . too low for very successful operation in Cyber Commander. Lithiums are the best. A $5 pair should last for months in normal use if you set the LCD brightness to about 20%.
