The older PCB speeding cannot be mounted on a stand as is. Which is important, because if you use a 7' Octa, the Octa needs to be supported.
If you plan on buying PCB soft boxes (foldable), then the newer PCB speedring is built in, and does not need to be removed. Very nice boxes, but PCB does not have the big sizes.
