I should have the new ones. At least the ones that broke the last time. Got them last year. Had them for about 8 months and the springs broke. I also only use the smalest octabox. So it should not put that much pressure on the springs.

I have 2 Kacey brackets and they are great. I've had situations where mounting x-large softbox on a Alien Bee fall off from making adjustments. With the Kacey bracket the softbox would break before the light would fall off. Please note on his site, the bracket is initially designed for the Paul Buff softboxes. They will not work with any other speedrings because the insert is like 5.25. Don't remember the actual size but it's something like that. I went back and forth for months before I found the correct solutions. Kacey now makes a 6" insert and I believe you have to request it. Even though the 6" insert was offered it will only fit some speedrings. The 6" insert will not fit the standard Photoflex/Fotodix speed rings which is 5.8" (something like this). The only speedring I found to fit is the Cowboy studio speedrings which is a 6" or 152mm.
