So does that mean I should hold off on doing the update? My Einsteins updated fine.

I am at ver 36 on my CC. Other than making sure I have good batteries will I be missing anything vital?

The V.50 update allows FAT32 compatibility (ergo, formatting on a Mac and/or larger cards) as well as corrects an issue with excessive power draw.

We can walk you through recalibrating your unit, if you have another flash meter.

I have another meter, but since I need it this weekend, and won't be using any large cards, I'll just have an extra set of batteries and be happy. I'll do the update afterwards.

It's working fine, I just remove the batteries between shoots. I don't see a real need to update the firmware, I'll just wait for the next version when it is fixed.
