The Retro Laser has the potential to be what the PLM cannot be on location. I've been waiting for something like this to do something amazing that I've thought about that I thought I could only do if I had a Zeus. ULTRA power from say 15 ft. Remember, I the Prince of Cheap can predict something about it... after I get ahold of mine... I'll show every photographer how to get magazine quality stuff ultra fast!

These are on their way to us Friday and should be shipping with 10 days after we receive them. I think it's safe to say the term Ghetto Blaster will take on new meaning. I'm getting f45 at 14' ISO100 from 640WS. At narrow focus it looks like a 11° gridded reflector with enormous output, sharp cutoff and smooth pattern.

Paul... I have a way to show a practical use for such focused power that EVERYONE will be doing this! I'm gonna kill to get this into POPphoto or some other magy-mag! I first tried it with the silver HOBD but needed more power. Thus something that the B800 couldnt get me. I think this is "IT" I think pros are gonna piss themselves when they see whats coming. B400's being used outdoors to kill sunlight! You'll see paul... I'll make you proud and you wont be able to keep the Retro Laser in stock when I'm done! I think the PLM and the Retro will be my new staple tools! PLM 42 and 86 for studio and Retro for... you'll see. :)

I believe you. Why not hook it up to a Bi Tube and two Zeus 2500s for a GN of 1800 and fry eggs from across the football field 8-)

No problem stocking these - we can make them as fast as you can buy them.

Luap,

I think you should dub the new mini boom arm, pictured in Rob's review of the Retro Laser as as "The Stinger"

Ironically, "Stinger" was the working name for AlienBees until I was abducted and they brainwashed me into calling the AlienBees. I felt Stinger was OK, but too common for me.

So I take it calling it "The Buffer" is out of the question? :D

I dig Retro Laser for the reflector, it's cool 8-) . I was referring to naming the mini boom arm.

May I assume these will fit Alien Bees?
