for my own use, I just rigged a little circuit that uses the CSRB+ RJ11 voltage and trigger output, sets a ramp, and generates the appropriate second open drain trigger, and viola, a "cube" that controls Nikon TTL flash power from a Cyber Commander.

That seems interesting. You should publish your tests and dev. it can give ideas to some people. I was thinking about using a small micro controller to interface between the CSRB+ RJ11 and the ETTL socket of a canon flash. But I think it would only work with later EX mark II flashes that can be controlled by the camera and I only have a the older mark I versions.

I'd like to see two things -

- Raised bumps on the corners of the plastic housing on the screen side of the CC - so if you place it face down on a flat surface the LCD screen gets a bit of protection.

- Setting of a default ISO for the light meter on the CC. Anytime the CC reboots, it reverts to ISO 100.

I have to simple suggestions.

personally benefiting: ISO 25 for metering

Universally benefiting: add All channels a second time so that you don't have to scroll through so much when moving around through individual channels and groups.

One more thing - as the firmware exists now, if you have several light discovered with the CC and some are powered off, the powered off lights will still limit power in bracketing. For example, let's say you have five Einsteins with transceivers and you discover all of the light with "Open from Studio". You power on lights 1-3 and begin setting power levels. If you choose the "All" option and reach the power limit of lights 4 or 5 then you can't change the power of lights 1-3 as a bracket without changing the power level of 4 or 5 first.

I think a firmware option could be added to select whether "All" is defined as the current function or "only lights powered on".

A post from last July said the manual would be updated for Einstein and I just received my new Einstieins - doesn't seem like the manual was updated nor was an addendum included. I had to come read the forum to figure out how to set up the Einstein. While PCB Customer Service is legendary, I think your technical documentation fails the PCB standard.
