You have control over any 6 continuous stops at a time, in 1/3 stop increments. To change which 6, you need to re-register the center point, which can be done sans computer I believe. You can also put it in one of 3 groups. Cyber Commander can use all power settings at any given time, up to 16 controled at once, individually, or in one of 8 groups. You can also control every parameter of Einstein, including model lamp mode and power, recycle indicators, slave cell, color/action mode, unit power, as well as metering and 1/10 stop adjustment. To get the full details of the MC2, you will need to contact Pocket Wizard.

Just ordered an einstein setup, was waiting for it to ship before ordering the CS system(CC and CSXCV). Apparently the Einstein shipped today :) But now I'm at a cross roads in regards to remote system.

I don't have any kind of business need for distance, and I am not invested in a system. The CS system is without a doubt GREAT value, especially with the light meter and complete control of the strobe unit.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me, but I would only require one of these powermc2's along with a mini TT1 unit, and I'm be able to operate the einstein with hss?

I guess thats all it really comes down too, do you want hss, almost full control and pocketwizard compatibility? Or full control, a light meter, pretty badass lcd unit and cheaper price..

Decisions decisions.. And still no word on a release date, poor us..

@leftcoaster

I suspect any control of the MC2 will be through PWs AC3 Zone Controller. It's a dandy little unit that sits atop the MiniTT1 or FlexTT5. It allows you to control 3 zones and power adjustments by a 1/3 of a stop.

I love my CC but after using the AC3 with my speedlights, the AC3 is much quicker. Let's face it, any adjustment on the CC requires you to take the camera from your eye, push the button to turn on the LCD, push again to change zone and push another 3 times to make a 1/3 power change. I've used the AC3 enough that I can make changes without taking the camera from my eye. It's a pretty cool piece of gear.

I'm looking forward to the MC2. Mix and matching E640s with speedlights will be the tits.

@ PowerEngineer

Yes, it's PWs product but it will be sold exclusively through PCB. Paul knows more than he's tellin' ... ;)
