Funny that you mention that I spoke to tech about it and said that when you upgrade you should tilt the head back. I don't think it would be out of warranty if you take the cover off turn it upside down and shake it out. I would ask first.

First of all. I'm a Computer Engineer. I upgrade firmware all the time, electronics all the time. I understand how this works. However tonight on my second upgrade I go to insert my micro sd card in the light and for some reason this one does not spring... I try to pull it out...only to find it has now fallen into the housing!!!

That's right I have a micros SD card shaking around inside....so now what??
Is this not safe to use anymore?
Am I going to short out the light?
Can I get this replaced and get my stupid disk back that I just spent $12 on?
I have a shoot this weekend. I had no clue this was going to happen.

Tech support is this safe to use with a disk floating inside the housing?
Paul can we get this replaced (hopefully with version 3 anyways since I'm waiting?)

Community be careful when inserting....not sure why my slot for the card is not installed correctly to allow the card to slide into the inside of the housing...

I want to take the housing off but I'm guessing that's against the warranty. If it doesn't kill the warranty can I take those 4 screws out and get that micro SD card out?

Any help ???

sad part was it was tilted back. I had a softbox on it ...so i tilted it back to not have all the preasure forward....I really think that thing might be on there strange...

I'll wait untill LUAP or tech give me the OK to open it (if they do) not sure if the two halfs just come off or what...might have to take them all the way off...then shake it out......not sure if bulb would even need to come out, just the housing to come off.

Having the SD card floating around could potentially short components on the boards. It should be removed. We do not reccommend opening the unit, as it is difficult to get back together. Since you say the unit is to be replaced anyway, i would contact CS to see when a replacement could get to you.

Im also trying to upgrade to version 26 from version 22. When I plug in the power cord the fan just spins up, spins down, spins up etc. Screen stays black and does not flash

I am currently using the following;
Sandisk 2Gb MicroSD - Formated on Windows Vista FAT, also tried MAC format, then tried partitioning to a smaller size with still no joy

Any suggestions?

*- Both my Einsteins exhibit the same behaviour.

The only thing that happens when i insert the sd card into the unit, fan start to idle. other then that no white screen or flickering.
