I'm not going to get mine for a while, probably, but when I and the rest of us do get our Einsteins , especially the early recipients, is there anything we can do in terms of feedback (besides Works Great!) that will be helpful to PCB in evaluating the product?
Sure. Check the accuracy of both flash and model lamps at any power setting, then try this with any other monolight (we have the only monolights with voltage regulated modeling lamps). Check the color consistency all the way from Full power to 1/256 power in Color Mode. Shoot some critical action stopping shots in both Action and Color modes. Note the very smooth patterns on various reflectors due to position of lamps and the frosted dome - compare model patterns to flash patterns - their absolutely identical. Put it on reduced power and shoot at motor drive rates from 3fps to 10fps. Shoot some f1.4 shots at 2.5WS and compare them to most Euro 600WS monolights with minimum power of 19 - 38WS. Do almost anything with Einstein and compare it to Euro lights at any price. Unplug it from 120VAC and plug it into 240V (with the correct power cable) and watch it work.
