By this, do you mean only the LOAD folder (with the explaination being of the file path used to get to it) or the PCBUFF folder, which contained all the folders and files listed?

The card is 2GB or less, but is it an SDHC card? (there are some 2GB SDHC cards on the market).

No, the card is the plain old SanDisk 2GB Micro SD. My computer automatically unzipped the E640-v26 file and created a PCBUFF folder which contained the EINSTEIN>CONFIGS>FIRMWARE>LOAD files. The entire PCBUFF folder was dragged onto the card as per your firmware update instructions.

The PCBUFF folder is titled "PCBUFF" and not "PCBUFF-1" or anything of that nature? You may want to try to delete the existing folder and try to redownload the firmware from the website and try again. At no time should you attempt to reformat, unless you know exactly how to do it on a Mac. If you are still unable to perform the update, please contact our Customer Service department by phone or email, and we can provide more directed assistance.

As I mentioned in my original post. The card was formatted by an Apple tech to the MS-DOS FAT 16 format. Then it was verified on two other Macs to make sure everything was correct before proceeding. Also, as previously stated the file was labeled PCBUFF, period. I tried completely removing the original firmware download, and re-downloading the update. That did not work either. I also called TS yesterday and left my name and #, but have not heard back.

Mike Carnegie.

I just recently purchased an Einstein, so I may answer my own question. Would the Einstein I just purchased have the v.26 firmware already installed?
