I am in the market for some new monolights and have read where photogenics should not be hung upside down, something about the circuits. Anyone know if the white lightnings can be? (X1600 / X800) |

You can hang any of our lights upside down without any adverse consequences. |

Mine hang upside down off manfrotto magic arms most of the time. For those who may be interested, those arms can hold and retain position with a B1600 + medium softbox. Works fine with 2 manfrotto extension arms + magic arm + b1600 + medium softbox as well. If your shopping for an arm get the variable friction with the KNOB not the long lever. And dont forget safety cables-- even if your not having clients over (your heads worth something too). I have mine around the lever of the AB, though sometimes I use the umbrella mount if I can. |
