I am in the market for some new monolights and have read where photogenics should not be hung upside down, something about the circuits.

Anyone know if the white lightnings can be? (X1600 / X800)

You can hang any of our lights upside down without any adverse consequences.

Mine hang upside down off manfrotto magic arms most of the time.

For those who may be interested, those arms can hold and retain position with a B1600 + medium softbox. Works fine with 2 manfrotto extension arms + magic arm + b1600 + medium softbox as well.

If your shopping for an arm get the variable friction with the KNOB not the long lever.

And dont forget safety cables-- even if your not having clients over (your heads worth something too). I have mine around the lever of the AB, though sometimes I use the umbrella mount if I can.
