I just received my new b800 on friday and found a problem with it right away. For some reason, the unit will shoot only at full power when I use my CSRB+ regardless of the power setting I use with it.

I have been able to get it to shoot properly at 1/32 power, but that would only be when I'm using the optical trigger. Even then, once I shoot anything faster than 1/30th, I suddenly only see every other shot being lit and once I'm shooting 1/160th only 1 in every 3 or 4 shots have light being captured (I did wait for the unit to recharge).

When I plug JUST the remote jack into the unit, I am able to adjust the power levels fine and the unit goes off properly when I press the test button. But once I attach a CSRB+ to the other side of the wire, it suddenly ONLY shoots at full power no matter where it is on the slider. I've tried another wire and also another CSRB+ but switching doesn't help so I'm sure it's not a fault of my wireless triggers.

I don't think it's the power source either as I tried it out on my VBII as well as plugging it in at 2 different houses. Same results.

Now, I tried out everything I just did with the b800 and did it again with my White lightnings and the WL works properly and are good as usual.

Is there anything I'm missing or should try to do? Or is this a defective unit? Any advice would be great!

Thanks

If you do not have a Cyber Commander, do not use the telephone cord as this overrides the back panel controls. Instead, use the 1/8" to 1/8" cable from the reciever to "sync" jack on the light.
