I purchased a grid for my 47" octabox and one for my large pcb softbox. The strange thing is that the octabox grid came with a diffusion panel and the large softbox grid did not. My question what is the extra diffusion panel for and was I suppose to get one with the large softbox grid?

Diffusion panels were included at one point in all grids. This was due to the fabrics included with the softboxes having velcro that was too thick to allow grids. The panels included with the grids have a narrower velcro border. Newer softboxes now have the narrower velcro and do not require a replacement fabric, so we stopped including them with the grids. As stock is sold off at different rates for different grid sizes, some size grids may still have the fabrics while others do not. If your large softbox does require a different fabric, let customer service know and we may be able to accomodate you.
