I am guessing between the 47" collapsable Octabox or one of the huge PLM modifiers for studio work (models).
The 'studio' is a not too big space in my living room.
I want to use 2(two) AB800 flash units.

I already have two white shoot through umbrellas, a brollybox (why isn't this manufactured anymore?) and a giant softbox.

I do model and wedding photography.
Please give me some advice :)

I also use my living room as a studio, actually its the dining room. It's not much, I have about 22' by 14' of space with 8 foot ceilings. With that type of room I am limited to mostly individual head & shoulder portraits, 3/4 shots and small groups mostly sitting down.
I don't have a PLM, but I do have a 60" umbrella that is collecting dust. The reason is, it takes up too much room ! Sometimes I might use it for fill, but otherwise I rather use my 45" umbrellas and sometimes even my 32" umbrellas.

I know the bigger the light the softer it is, but I find that the smaller umbrellas and softboxes give me more direction and better modeling. If I really want to soften up the light, I usually place a diffusion panel infront of the softbox, or the umbrella. I find I like this combination the best.

We have PLM configurations that achieve the same result.

The 86" PLM's stand about 6' tall (and wide). We have had a lot of people comment on these and our giant softboxes being bigger than they imagined. They are both great products, but they are very very large.

If you are looking in the 47" dia. range, why not a 51" or 64" PLM with diffuser?
