reading the CC manual (do not have the CC yet). on page 8 under "Initial Set up" the picture and literature says to plug in 1/8 dummy plugs (to disable slave eye) before plugging in CSR(B)+ receiver(s).
I thought we did not have to use dummy plug(s) when plugged in to telephone jack?

You do not have to use the sync jack for triggering when using the RJ11 remote jack. However, the RJ11 jack does not have a slave eye cut out switch in it. Therefore, the only way to disable the slave eye is to plug something into the sync jack.

This is when the Version32 firmware is applied to the CC.

E640 has a slave on/off function in the function menu.
