I am sorry if I am posting something that is not suitable for the technical discussion.. but I could not find anybody using abr800 for the macro shooting on the web.

I tested with my b800 and I was able to get f14 or f16 with lowest power setting on b800 though.(ISO100, 1/160 )

Have anyone ever used your ABR800 for macro shooting and may I ask your opinion on it??

Many many thanks in advance.

I have toyed with it before. The main concern is working distance of your macro lens. If you are too close, you may not be able to dial power down far enough. As well, you may get shadowing from the center hole. The more working distance you have, the less these will be an issue.

Put a neutral-density filter on your lens, it will reduce the affect of too much power from your ABR800 when it's at its lowest setting.
