I am new to studio photography. My wife Bonnie (who is the photographer) just received 3 of the new Einsteins. In addition, we are using the complete wireless transceivers (CSXCV)along with the CC for setup and the CST to fire the lights. We are just starting to setup the lights and I have each light set to a seperate channel 1, 2 and 3. My question is there will be situations where we will probably only use 1 light or just use 2 lights and not all 3. Should we setup and save 3 distinct groups within the CC? 1 for a single light, one for 2 lights and a seperate saved group that will be used for all 3 lights?

Thanks...Keith

This is a good idea, and easy to do. Once you learn to navigate the menu system, just go to a group number in the setup menu and add or remove whatever lights you want in that group. Then, if you want your 2 light group, just set the left joystick to that group number and you can bracket and meter and fire just those lights.

If you need to adjust the ratio between lights in a group, you would navigate to the particular light you want to adjust with the left joystick, make the adjustment, then go back to the group number to shoot.
