Just recently upgraded to the CC(CyberCommander) to control my AB(All AB800s) and played around with it yesterday. I was able to get through the initial set up and configuration settings and control the lights with the CC. Wonderful.

My question revolves around adding/subtracting lights from my set up. This seemed to cause issues with the CC not firing the newly added Bee or in some cases, any of the Bees in my set up. Let me give you a more concrete example.

Initital Setup.
4 AB800s on same frequency and Channels 1, 3, 5, & 7 at full power. All fire and can be controlled by the CC. Great. No problem.

I decide that I want to build my light set up gradually so I turn power off(with the AB unit's on/off switch) Bees on channels 3, 5 & 7.

Once I get the power for the AB on channel 1 set, I decide to add my rim light(Channel 3 AB). I power that light back on and this is where my misunderstanding/problem comes in. That light is no longer being fired by/controlled by my CC. I fiddled around and start the set up fresh and finally get it working again, but I must be missing something.

I kept struggling with this single issue as I continued experimenting with my lighting set up.
In some instances, the CC stopped firing any of the lights.

So, I guess my question boils down to this...
What is the best way to add/subtract and then even re-add a light to your set up so that CC will continue to control and fire them?

My normal approach to building lighting set ups is to start with one light and build from there. What's the best way to approach this while using the Cyber Commander?

Thanks for the help!

Try using the "refresh" command, which is up on the right joystick, after each light is brought on line.

However, if the slave eyes are locked out (by inserting a plug into the sync jack) you can meter one light at a time for ratios, then by selecting the ALL channel settings, get an aggregate meter reading. If this is too high or too low, you can raise or lower all lights until the reading becomes what you want. Also, using groups can help when trying to meter multiple lights that would not include all lights.
