Post subject: | What should I do? WL X3200... |
Hi, I have been using Paul C. Buff products for a while without any problems, this is my first issue, I bought a WL X3200 on august 2010, been using it for studio and outdoor works. For outdoors I use a 1,000w Pure Sine Wave inverter only for this light. On saturday in a pageant fashion shoot it began to beep, then I decided to take a look if there was something wrong with the flash tube, when I took it out, one of the 3 plugs was completely burned (see attached pic). Usually I only replace the flashtube without any problems, but now is diferent, I looked inside the unit and the plug hole was totally filled with the melted part of flashtube plug, now I cant even plug a replacement. ![]() ![]() Should I send it back for repair? Does it still have warranty or do I have to pay for the repair, help? :( Thanks! |

The White Lightning lights have a 5 year warranty on them, so yes, it will be fixed under warranty if you sent it in. With the charring, you would not want to plug a new tube in even if you could, as that would just damage the new tube. This was likely caused by improper installation or snagging on a modifier which unseated the tube. |
