. . . I need a new Alien Bee??? I have been searching online for hours, and read somewhere that if the green light won't turn on after a few seconds of charging, then my AB800 will need to be replaced. I have only had it for three months and used it four times. Is this normal for one to malfunction so quickly? I bought the Alien Bee because I didn't want to take a chance on a budget light, but I cannot believe it already does not work. I have a very important photo shoot this weekend, and it is supposed to snow outside so I was planning on setting up my studio. Now I can't. I am very frustrated.

If the green light does not come on, it means teh caps are nto charging properly. It is not normal for this to happen at all, much less so quickly. Call customer service, they will be able to let you know your options for warranty service.
