I've noticed when using my LGSR speedring with my Einstein that the quick release levers only travel back slightly more than 1/2 way to the fully locked position. Without a speedring attached the holding fingers (and with the quick release levers only 1/2 way) can be pushed completely open with fairly little pressure. My question is when using the LGSR speedring with a larger/heavy modifier (e.g. 5' or 6' softbox) would there be a cause for concern of the modifier falling? This concern is only for using other modifiers with an original Buff speedring. When using my Buff foldable softboxes the quick release fingers travel all the way back to their fully locked position. |

In your particular circumstance, given when you recieved your lights, the fingers should hold our LGSR fine, even with larger modifiers. We have only tested our softboxes, so we cannot make guarantees for softboxes larger than ours, but I do not think there will be issues. Some boxes, however, are so large the speedring needs to be mounted to the stand, and the ring needs to support the light. This would hold true with most lights. Our rings do not mount to stands, so for very very large boxes, you may need to source a new ring. |

Phillip, fully returned levers/fingers are not indicitive of speedring grip. We have taken into consideration that each manufacturer will have different specs on thier speed rings which will affect how the levers/fingers will seat. |
