Hi All,

I am new to these units - I just ordered my CST and two CSRB's a few weeks ago, got them, and have been playing. I didn't have the right cabling to hook up my Canon 430EX II so I was only using one CSRB for a while and it worked fine. Now I have the right hotshoe adapter from Zebraflash and hooked up both my 580 EX II and 430 EX II but the one CSRB is not blinking red with the test or shutter release.

It had worked (I think) a couple of times - I am not certain because I have the two and I may have just flip flopped them. With everything unplugged, the CST test button blinks on the one CSRB but not the other even when they are all set or the same channel and frequency. What gives? I think it may be a bad unit and may need to be exchanged.

Help please! Thanks!

I have the frequency set to 1 on the CST, the frequency set to 1 on the CSRB's, and the channel on the CSRB's set to 1 as well. What's going on?

If you have not done so, try a different frequency, and perhaps remove and reinstall one battery. The combination of these two steps should reset any settings that may have been set in testing that would lock out that reciever. I do not think this is the most likely cause of this, but it is fast and easy to try.

When you say it will not blink green from the test button, is that the reciever's own test button or the CST's?

Thanks for the reply!

I have removed the one battery and noticed that the unit was unresponsive so I figured it was "cleared" of any issues. Still did not work even after changing channels. My one unit always works without issue, the other one not so.

What I meant by the blink is this:

If both CSRBs are set to match the CST, the CST test button blinks one CSRB. If I click each CSRB test button, they each discharge the flash, so its not that the suspect CSRB is malfunctioning triggering the flash, it seems more like its not getting the trigger signal via radio.

Be sure you are looking at the arrow end of the frequency dials (channels are irrelevant w/o Cyber Commander). Some people do not recognize there is a difference in the ends. If you have verified this and the unit still does not receive signals, contact Customer Service for warranty service.
