Post subject: | metering lights individually w/ Einstein & cyber commander |
I am having a problem metering the lights individually. I tried this past weekend when I had 1 b800 and 1 Einstein hooked up. No matter what channel I had it on, both lights fired. I know that for the b series lights, you need to plug in a sync cord. I tried doing the same thing with the Einstein but it didn't seem to matter. Please explain how metering lights individually should work when using the Einstein. Thanks, Jeff |

The slave eye on the Einstein needs to be turned off via the Cyber Commander. Also, be sure both lights are set to unique channels and specified. When you go to SET UP>OPEN MEMORY> select "studio" and press in on the right joystick, Einstein will be set up automatically. However, you will have to go to SET UP> SPEC LIGHTS and define the Bee individually. If the lights are not defined, you may get abnormal metering operation. Also, independantly verify the slave eye on the Bee is being locked out as it should when a cable is inserted. I assume you are metering with the Cyber Commander? |

I'll check as soon as I return to my studio. THANKS! ps Cyber Commander & Einstein are a match made in heaven! Very impressed with both products. |
