So this is a monster box but I have never been a fan of the WL mounts. Doesn't seem so secure versus other brands which have half of the flash head inside the box....

Anyhow customer service was nice enough to offer me some new washers for my 4 1600' to prevent it from slipping.

I was told that one could put a rod through the umbrellea holder and a sandbag at the back to balance it a bit?

ANy other ideas? Is there some other kit for this?
Thank you!

Just to double check, is this our 47" or a different brand's 74" octabox?

Many 3rd party manufacturers have speedrings that mount to the stands, and the light supports itself. I have also seen this same set up, but there is additional support for the light coming from the ring, so the light is not supporting itself via the faceplate alone.
