My trusty PLM cardboard tubes are starting to show some travel wear- any thoughts on developing a durable carrying bag/case to protect them on the road? Anyone come up with a good DIY solution? |

Right now I just keep them in a stand bag along with an Apollo 28" softbox. I had looked into alternative cases for them and pool cue and fly fishing rod cases looked promising.... but I didn't cough up the $ to try one yet. |

i use those adustable plastic drafting tubes to put my umbrellas in for travel. they expand in length so you just adjust it to the length of your PLM. |

Standbagger makes some good "roll-up" bags, and they have a size long enough to handle the 86 in PLMs. That is what I use. |

This what I meant. Yes standard PVC is heavier |
