This may be a stupid question, but...

I've always taken both the inner and outer diffusion fabric off of my foldable softbox before I fold it up for transport/storage. I'm wondering if that's really necessary, though. You obviously have to at least undo the outer fabric a bit to fold the sofbox up, but would it hurt the fabric if the softbox was folded up with it still attached? I'll admit, I haven't tried it, and I'm not sure that it would fold up well with the outer fabric in place because the velcro would probably bunch up quite a bit, but I'm at least curious if anyone does this.

I don't remove anything. With a little practice and determination, you can even set it up and take it down by squeezing your hand through the speedring.

Same here.... I leave everything in place, fold it up and stuff it back in the bag.

I used to take the diffusers off, but no longer do. I simply use a little care when folding everything up.

That said, I sure would like to be able to purchase replacement diffusers and inner baffles. I believe in having spares on-hand for everything.
