I just got a new battery for my relatively unused VII. Charged and tested it in the studio with an AB400 directly plunged from flash to battery worked fine. I assumed that all was good to hook up my CSR for use with my CC. Shoot location was in an urban alley. Set up is an AB400 with a HOBD, CSR+ powered by an extension cord. This time I wanted to move beyond the range of the ext cord, so I hooked the strobe and CSR+ into the vagabon II. I got nothing. The strobe would not fire using the test button on the CSR+ or on the strobe itself. All modeling buttons were off, and RJ cord was used. Unit would not fire or control from the CC either. All of the CC funtions worked with the extension cord. What am I doing wrong? Strobe worked when I took the CSR+ out of the line. |

What happens if all the model lamp buttons are on? Then turn the lamps off via the CC? Did you get any flash at all, even if extremely low? |
