Post subject:  Fred Miranda Forum Unethical Behavior

I invite all readers to read through the following thread, from top to bottom, and draw your own conclusions of Fred Miranda, his "forum" and the agenda of a few hate-driven members who simply don't like to hear honest and useful information. Any comments, here or there, appreciated.

What an absolute load of sh!t. I have been following that thread and have seen in numerous other threads the crap you have copped. It has been uninvited, unnecessary and not very professional at all.

Fred Miranda is a douche

Methinks Mr. Miranda needs Mr. Buff more than Mr. Buff needs Mr. Miranda.

We all have our Miranda Rights, and it is my right to stop visiting Mr. Miranda's website.

Mr. Buff, stay above the fray; do not let them drag you down to their level.

Thanks for the support. It is correct that I get far less from FM than the industry gains (IMHO) from the info I provide.

This thread was a perfect example of my posting polite, important and unbiased answers to legitimate questions, watching haters change the subject and attack me, and having Fred Flintstone boot me instead of them. Guess he didn't like my final insult to him of perhaps having personal relations with the ugly posters there.

I believe the Profoto's and Broncolor's and Elinchrom's (none of which I put down) are getting real worried about Einstein, CC and VML, and that the haters are often anonymous ringers for competitors.

But truth always wins in the end.

That used to be an informative thread, turned into a useless flamefest. I added another person to my hide list on that forum.
Sorry you took the troll bait :|

Email I just sent to Fred Miranda:

"Dear Ferd,

Do what you want and keep your head buried under the covers. I hope it all works out for you and your pals. By the way Ferd, my name is not Bluff

see viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1386

I do not understand that decision by Fred. I think he made the wrong call. He should be going after the bad actors, not the content provider for his forum...geez.

Getting booted from FredMiranda is a feature, not a bug.
The less time spent there the better. Think of it as the inverse square law for forums.

I guess it is lonely at the top.. That is where you are or will be soon with the products, service and value you are providing. I also suspect the competition is very upset to see your products providing unmatched results for the value compared to what they are offering. They do not want to give up the high profit margin/sales and it shows in their attacks.

Bleeding edge technology married with a company willing to help others and take the high road and not overprice products will cause you always win out in the long run. To the other want to be competitors, as the band Rush sings in one of their songs " conform or be cast out".

I recall seeing on either Profoto or Broncolor site that something like 90% of their sales were to rental houses. How many can there be? I scoured rental houses to find a Scoro to rent and test . . . found two in the entire US. We sell upwards of 30,000 flash units annually to real people, and ship close to 1000 items per day. About 500,000 flash units in the field now.

In the grand scheme, FM is pretty irrelevant to the real world. They have also lost Ellis Vener . . . Technical Editor of PPA magazine and quite a few other technical experts. The pigs have taken over the farm, and the farmer has joined them.
