My large AB Octabox won't stay on my Einstein V2 (serial no E64005101). It looks like the fingers aren't long enough on top. I thought I was getting the newest version with everything fixed. The Octabox stays on my V1 with no problems. What should I do? Thanks. |

There should not be any reason the foldable octaboxes will not stay on. Are you certain all four holding fingers are in place? Are you also ensuring the box is centered on the faceplate? Are you rotating the box when it falls? If so, make sure the speedring is not rotating on the face of the Einstein. The outer speedring should rotate around the inner speedring instead. You may need to loosen the thumb screws to achieve this. |

artoris, Any update on this? While I love my Einsteins, I haven't been too impressed with the new V2 fingers and speedring compatibility. I've had a softbox fall off as well twice, and while I'd like to think it was user error I never had any problems with modifiers on my Bees over the years (other than ones that were clearly too heavy). |

I had a BD fall off an Einstein twice... first time it hit concrete, second time the model caught it. But that was because I was tilting it too much, the edge was hitting the light pole and putting back pressure on the fingers, basically leveraging it off. Though, that has never happend with the AB800's. I've also started pushing the clamp that managers the fingers to fully closed after releasing it, as stated in another post. I have a friend with 4 Einstiens, and he says two of them have defective fingers, where even when fully engaged, two of the fingers have no tension and can easily be pushed around, and as a result his OctoBox falls off as well. |

The one before the current one ( not sure how many versions there have been ). The dish was on, then I started tilting, and the edge of the BD was hitting the pole of the stand and leveraging it off |
