Hey guys. I have a Vagabond II battery pack. When flying home from Cambodia, they made me disconnect the battery from the inverter by unscrewing the cables from the bottom of the inverter.

When I got back home, and reconnected, at first I got no lights on, charging or otherwise. When I plugged in the charging cable, the GREEN charging light came on. It's supposed to be the Red one while charging, and green when it's ready.

It's been plugged in for about 5-6 hours now at least, and when I try to connect my light to it, there isn't enough juice to power it at all. The battery just beeps a bit and flashes. Though when I try an ipod charger, it seems fine.

Should it be fine if I just let it charge overnight? Or does this sound like some kind of issue?

Thanks for any help or thoughts.
Quinn

How long has it been since the last time it was used/charged? Does the battery look swollen, cracked? If the battery is sulfated, then it can give a premature charge indicator (since it cannot hold any more charge), yet still act low. If you have the "jumper cables" that shipped with the Vagabond, you can try to connect to a 12V car or lawn mower battery to see if the unit acts normally then, and/or, you can take the battery to an auto parts store and see if they will test it for you (and they usually can).

A bit of a tangent but worth pointing out.... if you disconnect the battery leads from the inverter then it is also a good idea to remove them from the battery too. Leaving the leads connected to the battery and flopping around on the other end just increases the chances of shorting-out the battery.

Thanks guys. Been using it non stop for past month on commerical gig, and still a few weeks to go. A guy at the airport zapped them together once, but then they were taped up securely. I'll give it till morning for a full charge, but still not sure whats up with the wrong green charge light.

Thanks again
Quinn
