Hello, although the positioning arm on my bee turns regularly, with no problem, it won't release the part that attaches to the light stand that allows angler adjustment. I turn the positioning arm counter clockwise yes the piece won't budge at all. I have this problem with three out of my six lights. Can you give me both a possible cause and diagnosis. Hopefully a home remedy as I have few funds to work with as far as mailing things in goes. Thanx! |

The hinge is 100% friction, no gears or anything. If the ratchet arm is working as normal (as in it turns the inner piece as well), then it is a matter of loosening it suficiently. The purpose of the ratchet handle is to loosen as far as you can, disengage the ratchet, reposition, and continue to loosen. Repeat as needed. If you want to completely disassemble the hinge, you are welcome to do so, just do not take a screwdriver to the ratchet handle. The order of parts should be as follows: Bolt head, housing flange, white washer, stand mount, white washer, housing flange, metal washer, plastic washer (or two), handle. |
