Hey americans,
I want say that I have always been happy with the AB service from the US. Sometimes my emails have been answered on the same day and I was VERY happy when I saw that Paul C Buff started to open a shop in Europe (specialy in the EU)

But unfortunately the AB guys in europe give a f*** about costumers as they have not been answering simple question about the stock (what is in stock, when can I buy) nor have I received an email saying..."sry we dont know yet" or something like that.

When I dialed the phone number (I tried it about 10 times to make sure I got it right) and waited no one picks the phone up and there is also no voice saying "sry no one here". The counter in my phone just starts to count the seconds :?:

Many people here in germany have realised that and it is generally known in german photography forums now that the AB shop in europe seems to be "dead" (have read a post in a UK one, too). Is that supposed to be like this? I have mailed with 3 other persons that had the same problem, one of them finaly contacted the AB guys in the US which answered him in 24h.

SOOOOOoooooo...
YES, I want to buy AB products,
YES, I accept the (MUCH) higher prices in the EU because of import and tax
YES, I want to spend a loooot of money, but if there is no1 2talk2 I cant order something :/

Please help me. I want good light without beeing dependent on the daylight :D
Greetings from Europe,
FloH

FD-Pictures,
Are you able to say what's going on? Nothing on the website has been updated since the beginning of July and I'm just curious. I've place an order and am considering making some changes to it.
Thanks

Colin indicated to me the customer was dialing the wrong country code.

I have placed an order about two weeks ago and tried to get in contact with te UK dealer through email at least three times but still no answer. I ordered the regular AB untill the Einsteins were ready to be shipped, but i still havent got an answer on when my AB will be shipped so maybe its better to wait for the Einsteins.

Anyway I think its pretty bad customer service to have a webshop and don't answer emails :-(

I agree. We are following this up to see what's going on. This is a small startup operation, but that's no excuse.

Just got an email from Colin where he explains and apologise for not getting back to me:
" I apologise for not getting back to you due to the volume your emails was missed. Just a quick update we are currently processing our back orders and yours should be ready to go in the next day or so."

So all seems to be good with the UK distributor after all, really looking forward to getting my alienbees until the Instein v2 drops.

Hi! So how did the story end with the UK shop? I am on the verge of ordering from them, but the bad reviews about them in the internet are giving me second thoughts... has anything changed since last year, have they gotten any better?

Greetings from Germany!
