Post subject: | Speering adapters for Einsteins |
Hi I have just taken the plunge and ordered 4 new Einsteins. I believe I will receive the V2 version. My question is : I have many modifiers (softboxes, strips, etc.) which I use with elinchrom speedring adapters. Now I have to change these adapters for the PCB mount. Which adapters will do the job? I have read in this forum that the balcar adapters are not so good, since the einstein's "fingers" will not close completely. I have also read about Kacey adapters, but I'm not sure whether they will work on a standard speedring. My main concern is that since these adapters are flat, the screws used to connect the speedring to the adapter may become too close to the front plate of the einstein, even for not fitting in this small space. All my speedrings look something like this: ![]() Help anyone please? |

We have tested the current configuration of lights with current Westcott, Chimera, Creative Light, and our own speedrings with our boxes and a Photoflex 7' octadome. All combinations held well. |

All combinations held well. Kasey makes a adapter for ab/el that fits right on the light and it works great |
