When you meter one channel, a yellow dash appears in that channel. Since the reading is not directly related to the relatiive power of the light, it can be anywhere on the collumn, without regard to the blue bar. Where it appears is related to the yellow numbers on the left. If the meter reading is f/11 at the top, then the yellow dash appears even with the "11" on the side. If you raise or lower the flash power, the yellow dash changes as well. If you move to a different channel, the dash remains as reference since the meter readingat the top would be for a different light. Dashes are not affected by metering in ALL or GRP settings. However, if a group of lights is changed, the affected yellow dashes wil increase or decrease as appropriate. Metering one light at a time is for ratios. For the camera setting, you would meter ALL. Once all lights are metered, you can adjust power globally, and in ratio.
