Hi,

I just got my CC and would like to set shutterspeed to say 1/200. However, I found myself having only the nearest options of 1/125 or 1/250. Can someone kindly advise?

Thanks!

Shuttersped and ISO is only selectable in whole stop increments only. In studio, you can set to either 1/250 or 1/125 and not experience any difference in exposure. The difference outdoors in daylight would be 1/3 of a stop on ambient only. Frequently, you can exceede your sync speed a little outdoors without noticing a black bar.

I'm a little confused by the shutter speed setting in the Cyber Commander. What does this effect? I'm used to thinking about shutter speed controlling the ambient exposure and not the flash.

(tried to do a search on "shutter speed cyber commander", but search didn't like that)

It is for your meter readings. Even if you are using flash, ambient will still affect your exposure. In most studio situations it is not a critical setting. But if you are outdoors, or want to mix ambient light, it is required for accurate metering.
