You might find this site interesting and useful: http://www.dpchallenge.com/index.php It is very oriented toward sharing of images, critiques, and learning, and has online "challenges" where you can enter images for scores and commentary. Since this is more of a PCB tech support forum, you may find that DPC will be more suited to the kind of image feedback you are looking for. People coming here tend to be here for technical information about PCB products, but DPC is all about images and a variety of techniques. :) |

I know of that site I'm a member there so I thought I would share it with ya all here and I do understand the purpose of this forum. :) just wanted some comments from alien bee family :) I'm in it for long run. So thank you for the link and your time :). So what you think of photo? I know I could do better with few lights but not have the luxury. |

This is technical forum for PCB gear. If you want a photo critique and pointers for improvement then try DPChallenge, or the Alien Bees Group on Flickr (which is not run by PCB), or Photo.net. |

We do appreciate your activity as a member here and your desire to learn and grow, and sharing your work. However, thr purpose of the board is for technical aspects. Trouble shooting, diagnosis (to the best it can be achieved), specifications, etc. Technique is pushing the boundaries, but is ok if discussed from a technical point of view, as it tends to be based on fact, and objective. Image review is outside the scope if this board. It is not that we are discouraging help, growth or learning, we do encourage it. Rather, it is because threads of this nature are subjective, and can deteriorate rapidly with arguments. We had a forum a few years ago we closed due to this, and we do not have the resources to continuously moderate it, nor do we want to be put into a position to take sides. This is a technical help resource we put in to reduce the load of comon calls and emails. It is easier to find what you are looking for if you do not have to filter non-technical posts as well. The more difficult it becomes, the more likely they will call in or email us. We do not discourage contacting us directly, but a more rapid response for common questions can be answered on weekends, nights, holidays, etc. Plus it reduces wait times on the phone or emails for all customers. Again, we strongly encourage you to seek feedback on your photography and learn everything you can (or want). However, we must limit the discussions here to technical matters. |
