Post subject:  Infrequent Use

I have 3: B800 units which haven't been used in over 2 years; just sitting in storage. I want to begin using them now. Is there anything I need to do to reform/recharge/refresh them so they won't get damaged?

Thanks.

Start at the minimum power, and fire about 5-10 shots. Work your way up at 1 stop increments, firing 5-10 shots at a time.

Edit... TS beat me to the punchline....

Give them a good look-over just to make sure there aren't any really obvious issues. Then turn them on and fire them a few times at their lowest setting and work your way up to full power firing a few times at each level. Go slow between pops so that the whole process takes 3-5 minutes. This will help reform the caps.

I presume Einsteins charge to full power on power up. What is the recommended sequence to restart after prolonged storage?

Einstein will power up to the last place it was. If at full power, lower the power, and let it adjust itself (i.e. let it give you the ready indicator). Then proceed as described above.
