What is the purpose of the small jack plug situated right under the left standard AC outlet ? It looks like a plug for a Pocket Wizard or something. I could not find the purpose in the user manual.

It is an external grounding connection. External groundign is not needed for safety, as teh internal grounding is designed for that. However, if very high amounts of RF are present (bottom of teh WSM radio tower), then external grounding may improve performance.
